ARTS-IN-EDUCATION

The Appalachian Dulcimer is an authentic and beautiful part of our country's musical heritage. A new generation of young dulcimer enthusiasts has been introduced to the instrument through school visits by Lois Hornbostel, one of the country's best-known dulcimer performer/teachers and an internationally-published author. She has taught over 19K children to play and build mountain dulcimers in schools.

Joining Lois is Ehukai Teves, a sensational musician and dulcimer building innovator. He holds a Bachelors degree in Music Theory and Voice Performance and has worked in schools for more than 20 years.

Both enjoy a love for youngsters and have notorious reputations for their rapport with them!
